Edwardian talks about the short stretch when Edward VII was king of Britain, from 1901 to 1910 — right after the long Victorian years, and just before the First World War. People use it for the clothes, houses, and manners of that time: women in big hats and long skirts, men in high stiff collars, rooms with pretty detail that feel a little lighter than heavy Victorian ones. You will meet it in museums, costume films, and history class far more than in everyday chat. It can also name a person or a thing from those years: “an Edwardian” meaning someone who lived then. Though actually, writers sometimes stretch it a little past 1910, into the years just before the war, because the look and the mood did not stop on the day the king died. The word feels a bit formal and old-fashioned; you would not use it for last year.
