Ebony is a very hard, heavy wood that is naturally almost black - people use it for fine furniture, and for the black keys on a piano. Because the wood is so dark, the word 'ebony' is also used just to describe a deep black color, especially for things like hair or skin, in a poetic or way.
黑檀木;烏黑色
