Eats means food, especially the food you put out for a party or a casual gathering. “I’ll bring the eats” means I’ll bring things to eat. It is an informal noun, always in that plural shape; you do not say “an eat.” You hear it in relaxed, often American-sounding speech and on posters (“Great eats!”). It is not a kitchen-textbook word or an exam word. Though actually, it can sound a bit dated or , like someone putting on a casual voice. For everyday talk, food or snacks is the quieter choice.
