Something drawn-out takes more time than usual, and more time than you wanted. A drawn-out meeting, a drawn-out goodbye, a drawn-out war: you feel it dragging. It is everyday English, complaining, not slang and not very formal. It comes from the verb draw out, meaning to make something last longer. Though actually, it is only about time feeling too long — never about drawing a picture.
drawn-out 用來形容某件事花的時間比平常久，也比你想要的久，讓人覺得拖著走不動。它的常見格式是「a drawn-out ＿＿」，後面接會議、道別或戰爭這類名詞。
這是日常英文，語氣帶一點抱怨，但不是俚語，也不太正式。它來自片語動詞 draw out，意思是讓某件事拖得更長。
這個字只跟時間有關，和畫圖沒有關係。
