A show at a movie theater in which two full-length films are played one after the other, usually for the price of a single ticket.
兩片連映
You can picture one ticket and two whole films, played back to back with only a short break. Feature means the main, full-length film of the evening, so double feature simply means you get two of them in a row.
可以想成一張票、兩部完整的長片，前後接著放，中間只休息一下。關鍵在 feature 這個字：在電影的語境裡它指「正片、長片」，也就是那天的主角，不是「特色」。所以 double feature 就是「主角有兩部」。這個畫面後來從電影院搬到了家裡的光碟架上——同樣是兩部正片，只是變成一次拿在手上。
