A small toy shaped like a person or baby, especially a word small children use for a doll — 'give the dolly a hug.' It's also a low platform on wheels used to move heavy things, like boxes or furniture, sometimes called a hand truck. In filmmaking, a 'dolly' is a cart that the camera sits on, so it can move smoothly while filming — 'dolly shot' is that smooth moving camera shot.
