    Doha is the capital city of Qatar, a small, very rich country on the Persian Gulf. Almost all of Qatar’s government, business, and international life sits in this one city — towers, a huge airport, and the 2022 football World Cup were there. English speakers usually say it DOH-hah. It is a place name, so you write it with a capital D. It is not a common English noun.
