Dishy means sexually attractive — good-looking in a way that makes people notice, often with a little heat in it, not only “neat” or “pretty.” It is informal British, a bit playful, and to younger ears it can sound old-fashioned, like something a parent or a 1970s magazine would say: a dishy actor, a dishy waiter. You use it of people more than of clothes or rooms. It is warmer and lighter than words that sound crude; it is also less serious than beautiful. Though actually, it comes from an old informal use of dish for an attractive person — “What a dish!” — plus -y, so it is about the person as a treat for the eyes, not about plates on the table. There is another, later use of dishy for gossipy talk (from to dish, to share juicy news), but that is not this meaning. Here the word is about looks and pull.
