DFW is the airport code — and the everyday short name — for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, a very large airport in Texas, in the United States. It sits between the two cities of Dallas and Fort Worth and serves both, which is why the name joins them. It is one of the busiest airports in the world, a big hub where many flights connect. On tickets, boards, and baggage tags you will see DFW, not the full name. Dallas has another, much smaller airport (Dallas Love Field, code DAL); DFW is the huge international one. People say 'I fly into DFW' the way they say 'I fly into JFK' for New York.
