A reckless attitude: you know there might be trouble, and you go ahead anyway, almost with a grin. People say a devil-may-care smile, a devil-may-care driver, a devil-may-care attitude. It is a little old-fashioned and a little storybook, but newspapers and novels still like it. It does not mean you worship the devil. It comes from an old shrug: the devil may care — I don’t. Depending on the speaker, it can sound slightly (brave, free) or slightly warning (you are not taking this seriously enough).
devil-may-care 指的是一種不在乎的態度：明知可能有麻煩，還是照樣往前衝，甚至帶著笑。常見的說法是 「a devil-may-care smile」、「a devil-may-care attitude」，也就是 a devil-may-care 後面接一個名詞，描述某人的樣子或做事的方式。
