Something demotivating makes people less eager or willing to do the job. We use it for the cause, not the person: a demotivating meeting, demotivating pay, a demotivating rule. It is the -ing form of , used like an adjective, and you hear it a lot in offices and schools. Though actually, speakers mix this with : the person feels ; the situation is demotivating.
