    A cupful is how much a cup can hold — one full cup of something. You will see it in cooking: 'a cupful of rice', 'two cupfuls of milk'. Though actually, be careful: in American recipes a cup is a real measuring cup (about 240 ), not the mug you drink tea from, which might be much bigger or smaller. So a cupful is an amount, not 'whatever happens to be in your favourite mug'. The plural is cupfuls (some people write cupsful; cupfuls is the usual one).
