A covermount is a CD, DVD, or similar gift stuck to the front of a magazine, so you get it free when you buy the magazine. The disc is mounted on the cover. British magazine publishing used this a lot, especially in the 1990s and 2000s: computer magazines with software, music magazines with a free CD, language magazines with a practice disc. You can also use it as a verb: a magazine covermounts a disc when it attaches one to the cover to help sales. It is a trade word, not everyday home English. Though actually, the gift is not always a disc now; a covermount can be a book, a bag, or another small thing fixed to the cover, but the classic picture in people's minds is still the free CD.
