A coupe is a car with two doors and a roof that down at the back, giving it a sporty look - it usually seats fewer people than a regular four-door car. There's a second, much less common meaning in cooking: a coupe can also be a dessert, usually fruit or ice cream, served in a wide, shallow glass. Most students will meet the car meaning far more often.
