A correspondent is a person whose job is to send news reports, often from another country or about a special area of news, like a war correspondent or a sports correspondent. They write or speak reports for newspapers, TV, or radio. The word can also mean someone you write letters to regularly, but today it is mostly used for this kind of reporter.
