Correctness simply means being correct or right, without mistakes — correctness, mathematical correctness, factual correctness. There's also a very common phrase, 'political correctness' (often to 'PC'), which is about choosing words and behavior carefully to avoid offending or excluding people. That phrase is used two ways in real life: some people use it , to mean thoughtful, respectful language, and others use it as a complaint, to mean people being overly careful or too easily offended. So 'political correctness' especially is a phrase you should notice the speaker's tone on.
