Conservatism is an attitude or political belief that favors keeping traditional values, existing systems, and cautious, slow change instead of big, fast reform. It can describe a political movement or party (as in British Conservatism), or just a personal attitude in everyday life — someone who prefers old, familiar ways of doing things is showing conservatism.
