A confessor is the priest someone goes to, regularly, to tell what they have done wrong and to ask for forgiveness. In the Catholic Church that private talk is confession, and my confessor means that usual priest, not any priest who once listened. It is a church word; you will not hear it much in a Taiwan junior-high corridor unless the family is Catholic. Though actually, older English also used confessor as a saint's title for a Christian who suffered for the faith but was not killed. History books keep that sense; the parish keeps the priest. The meaning filed here is the priest who hears confession.
