    A cone is a shape that is round and flat on one end and comes up to a single point on the other end, like an ice cream cone or a party hat. You also use this word for real things shaped like this — an ice cream cone (with ice cream on top), a pine cone (the hard brown thing that falls from a pine tree), or a traffic cone (the orange plastic marker on roads).
