Coital is a doctor's adjective about coitus: the act of having sex. You will see it in health texts, not in chat: coital pain, coital frequency. It is not rude in itself; it is cold and clinical, like a note in a hospital file. Students should know it if they read medical English, but they should not drop it into a talk with friends. The matching noun is coitus. In ordinary English people just say having sex.
