A small green plant with round leaves, usually divided into three parts, that grows wild in fields and lawns — cows and other farm animals like to eat it. A rare four-leaf clover (with four parts instead of three) is a well-known symbol of good luck. The phrase 'in clover' means living a very comfortable, easy, wealthy life.
