The noun sounds formal, church-like, and a little old. Young people in ordinary talk more often say they are waiting, or not ready, than “I live in chastity.” Though actually, people also stretch it: they may say chastity when they only mean “no dating right now,” which is looser than the old meaning.
The noun這個名詞 sounds formal, church-like, and a little old聽起來正式、有宗教味,而且有點老派。Young people in ordinary talk年輕人日常說話裡 more often say they are waiting, or not ready比較常說自己還在等,或還沒準備好, than 'I live in chastity'而不是說'I live in chastity'。Though actually不過其實, people also stretch it人們也會把這個字用得比較鬆, they may say chastity when they only mean 'no dating right now'他們可能只是想說'現在不交往'就用了chastity這個字, which is looser than the old meaning這比舊的意思鬆多了。
