A carrycot is a small, light baby bed with handles, so you can lift the baby — still lying down — and move them from the house to the car, or from room to room. It is a British word. In American English people say bassinet, or talk about a portable crib. A carrycot is not a car seat: the baby lies flat, and you should not use it in place of a proper car seat on a drive. Some old were built so the carrycot lifted off the wheels. Though actually, many parents now use a car seat that clicks onto a frame instead; you still meet carrycot in British baby shops and safety advice.
手提嬰兒床(可連人帶床一起搬走)。英式說法。美式說 bassinet。不是汽座;寶寶是平躺的。
