Carrauntoohill is the highest mountain in the Republic of Ireland. It stands in the southwest of the country, in County Kerry, in a range called the MacGillycuddy's Reeks. The top is a little over one thousand metres up. Walkers, geography books, and Irish people talking about their own mountains use the name; it is not an everyday word unless that is the subject. It is in the Republic, not in Northern Ireland. The name is Irish, and English speakers often stumble over the spelling.
卡朗圖希爾山(愛爾蘭共和國最高峰)
組成An Irish place name. It probably comes from Irish Corrán Tuathail; people do not agree on a tidy translation of the Irish parts.
