    Carefree means you are not carrying worries just now — light, easy, not chewing on problems. A carefree afternoon, a carefree child. The feeling is usually warm; people want it. Though actually, it is not the same as careless. Careless is when you do not take care: you lose keys, you hurt someone by not thinking. A carefree person may still be careful with a task; they are simply not anxious. It is an ordinary, friendly word, common in talk and in ads that sell holidays.
