Cana is a town in the Bible, in Galilee — the north of the land we now call Israel. In the Gospel of John, Jesus goes to a wedding there and turns water into wine: the story people call his first miracle. English often says Cana of Galilee, so you do not mix it up with , which is a whole land, not this town. It is a place name from scripture, sermons, and art, not a word for daily life. How you say it: KAY-nə.
組成Borrowed through Latin from Ancient Greek Κανά (Kaná). It may come from Hebrew קָנֶה (qané, “reed”), but that is only a possibility.
