A burrito is a Mexican and Mexican-American dish: a large soft flour wrapped around a filling — often meat or beans, with rice, cheese, and salsa — then rolled into a fat cylinder you eat with your hands. In the UK and in Taiwan you will meet it in Mexican restaurants and fast-food places. People stretch the word: a breakfast burrito is still a rolled ; a burrito bowl is the filling with no at all, so it is not really a burrito, though actually that is what shops call it. The Spanish word burrito means little donkey. One possible story, not a sure one, is that the rolled food looked like the pack a donkey carried. Do not picture a donkey on the plate.
