A bullfighter is the person who faces the bull in a Spanish bullfight — the show in the ring, not the show itself. In English the word covers the people in that ring in a general way. The one who makes the last moves and, in the traditional form, kills the bull is often called a matador; that is a more exact Spanish word. Other people in the same show have other jobs.
