To rain extremely hard, as if someone were pouring buckets of water from the sky. British and informal; the subject is always weather 'it': it's bucketing down. Americans say 'pour' instead. Perfect for a Taiwan afternoon , though the British themselves also say 'pour down' or 'chuck it down'.
