    If cloth is brocaded, it is that thick, heavy kind with a gold or silver pattern woven in — so a brocaded jacket is a jacket made of brocade, or covered in that raised shiny pattern. People also use it a little loosely for any fabric that looks that way, even if the “gold” is only yellow thread. You will see it in descriptions of old clothes, furniture, and palaces; it feels a bit literary, a bit museum-label. It is brocade with -ed on the end, so it can also be the past of the rare verb (they brocaded the silk), but in real life you almost always meet it as an adjective sitting in front of a noun: brocaded silk, a brocaded . It is not a different material from brocade. One is the cloth; the other describes something made of it.
