    A bozo is a person you think is silly or stupid. It is a rude, joking insult, not a careful word. People throw it at someone who has just done something dumb, or at someone they simply do not respect. It is American, informal, and a little old-fashioned, but you still hear it. It is not a kind nickname. Do not use it about a friend unless you are both laughing, and never use it at work or with someone you do not know well.
