1. 1

A booger is that thick bit of sticky or dried stuff from inside your nose. Doctors may say ; children, and adults being funny, say booger. It is everyday American body-talk: a little rude, a little gross, not a swear word, and not for a careful essay. British speakers often say bogey for the same thing. People pick them, wipe them, and pretend they never did. You will hear it at home and in jokes, not in a formal letter.
