This is an informal word with two very different meanings, so pay attention to how it's used. Most commonly, "boob" is a casual, slightly playful word for a woman's breast. In British English, "a boob" can also mean a silly mistake, like "I made a bit of a boob" — this second meaning is more old-fashioned now. Because of the first meaning, this word is casual and best avoided in polite or formal situations.
