A bobwhite is a small brown bird from North America, a kind of quail. People named it after the male's call, which to English ears comes out like 'bob-white!' So the name is the sound, not a man called Bob, and the bird is not white. It lives in fields and brush. In some parts of the United States it is still shot for sport and food; that is why dictionaries mention hunting. You will almost only meet this word in American English, talking about that one bird.
山齒鶉(一種北美鵪鶉;名字是叫聲)
組成The name copies the bird's call. It is onomatopoeia: the word is trying to be the sound 'bob-white'.
