Biotechnological is the describing word for things that belong to biotechnology: using living cells, bacteria, yeasts, and the like to make medicines, break down waste, grow better crops, or make useful stuff. So you hear biotechnological methods, a biotechnological company, biotechnological research. The noun — the field itself — is biotechnology. This adjective is formal and a bit heavy; news and science writing like it. Though actually, in Taiwan everyday talk, people often skip the long English adjective and just say 生技 before a noun. It does not mean “about biology in general.” A biological fact is just about living things; a biotechnological process is one that uses living things as tools.
