Bickering is the arguing itself — the back-and-forth about things that do not really matter, and that does not seem to stop. It is the -ing form of , and English uses it in three easy ways: as a verb ('they are bickering'), as a noun ('the bickering went on all morning'), and as a describing word ('a bickering couple'). The feeling is the same in all three: sharp little complaints, not a grand fight. News writers sometimes stretch it for politicians, with a slightly tired or tone — as if the grown-ups should know better. In ordinary talk it still belongs most naturally to kitchens, car journeys, and siblings.
組成bicker + -ing. The -ing can name the activity (the arguing) or describe people who keep doing it.
