    Biarritz is a town on the Atlantic coast of southwest France, near Spain. For a long time it has been a holiday place for rich and famous people — royalty, film stars, and later with money. It has beaches, big hotels, and a smart, feel. In English, saying someone “goes to Biarritz” can suggest a fancy seaside holiday, not a cheap backpacker trip.
