Drunk — British slang, built on 'bevvy', an informal British word for an alcoholic drink (probably cut down from 'beverage'). You will hear it in Britain, in casual speech, often about a night out: 'we got bevvied up before the party'. Unlike 'beered up', it is not limited to beer — any alcohol counts. It sounds distinctly British; an American might not use it at all, though actually 'bevvy' has been spreading a little through British TV. Very informal — friends only, never in writing.
