1. 1

Bejewelled means wearing jewels, or covered with them. A bejewelled woman has rings, , a necklace — the sparkle is on her. A bejewelled crown or box has stones set into it. Writers also stretch it: a sky bejewelled with stars, a cake bejewelled with fruit. Those are not real gems; they sit on something the way jewels sit on a dress. It is a describing word, a little dressy. You meet it in stories, fashion pages, and film more than in the market. Though actually British English keeps the double l (bejewelled); American English usually bejeweled. Same word, two spellings. It does not mean “beautiful” by itself — only that jewels, or jewel-like things, are on it.
