A beekeeper is a person who owns bees or looks after them, usually in boxes called hives. They check the bees, keep them healthy, and often take honey. Some do it as a job; some do it as a hobby in a garden or on a roof. It is an ordinary, clear word. A more word for the same person is apiarist, but beekeeper is the one most people say.
