A bedspread is the extra cover you put on a made bed so it looks neat and finished. It sits on top of the sheets and blankets. Many people fold it down or take it off before they sleep; it is more about how the bed looks in the daytime than about keeping you warm, though a thick one can do a little of both. In shops you will see bedspread, quilt, and duvet cover sold as different things: a duvet cover wraps around a duvet, while a bedspread usually just lies on top. It is an ordinary home word, a little old-fashioned in some families who now just say throw or cover.
床罩(別跟床單搞混:床單是貼著床墊、人躺上去的那一層)
