    A bathrobe is a long, loose piece of clothing shaped like a coat, that you wear especially before or after a bath or shower. It keeps you warm and covered while your hair is wet and you are not yet dressed. People also wear one over , or while making tea in the morning. It is home clothes, not street clothes. Though actually, it is not a towel: a towel dries you; a bathrobe is something you put on. Thick ones are often the same kind of fluffy cloth as towels. Hotels often leave one on a hook in the bathroom.
