A Barbour is a well-made coat from Britain. The classic ones have a special wax on the cloth, so rain and wind do not get through easily. Farmers and country people have worn them for a long time because they are tough outdoors. Though actually, in cities they later became a fashion thing too: you will see them on people who have never been near a farm. It is a brand name, so it has a capital B, and it is not a cheap jacket.
