    Banjul is the capital city of the , a small country on the west coast of Africa. It is a port on the River, near where the river meets the sea, so ships can reach it. For a long time the city had a British name, Bathurst; later it was Banjul. You write it with a capital B and use it like any city name: in Banjul, from Banjul. It has no meaning besides the place. In Taiwan you will meet it in news and geography more than in everyday talk.
