Bally is an old-fashioned British way of saying bloody without using the stronger swear. Someone might say “this bally weather” or “that bally car” to show they are , but in a slightly comic, upper-class, old-film way. It does not mean “covered in blood.” It is only a softer stand-in for bloody as a word of . Almost nobody young uses it now. Though actually, if you use it today people may laugh, because it sounds like a character in an old story, not like a real person talking.
