A Baha'i is a person who follows the Baha'i Faith. That faith teaches that the big religions come from the same God, and that people should live as one human family. It began in the nineteenth century in what is now Iran. You can use the word as a noun (She is a Baha'i) and as an adjective (a Baha'i temple). Say it in three parts, with the middle stress: ba-HA-ee. It is a respectful, ordinary name — the word people in the faith use for themselves.
