Audibility is a noun. It is not the sound itself. It is the name for whether a sound can be heard, and how easy that is. High audibility means the sound reaches you without a struggle. Low audibility means it is too soft, too far, or covered by other noise, so you may miss it. A fire alarm can be very strong and still have poor audibility if everyone is talking, or if you are behind a closed door. You will meet this word in careful or work English: someone testing a classroom microphone, writing about a warning sound, or talking about speech in a noisy hall. In everyday talk, people almost never say audibility. They ask “Can you hear that?” or they call the sound audible or too quiet. So this is the formal name for an idea you already have in simpler words.

組成Borrowed from New Latin audibilitās. Inside it is the same Latin hear-root as audible (audīre, “to hear”), with a noun ending that means “the fact or degree of being ….”
