Astutely means “in an astute way”: you watch, you understand fast, and you often make a move that helps you. It tells you how someone acts or speaks, not what kind of person they are as a label. “She astutely waited” means she saw the right moment; “an astute woman” is the adjective. Same slightly sharp, flavour as astute — smart with an eye on the advantage. Formal enough for news and essays; not a playground word.
