Artistry is the skill and care of someone who does a thing as if it were art. It can be a painter's artistry, but also a cook's, a footballer's, or a speaker's — the clever, beautiful way they do the job, not just the job itself. It is a slightly formal, praising word. It names the quality, not the person (that person is an artist). You can have artistry in something that is not “art” in the school sense, and that stretch is normal. It is not the same word as , the stage performer.
