A piece of cloth or plastic worn over the front of your clothes to protect them, usually while cooking or doing messy work — tied around the waist or hung around the neck. In airports, the 'apron' is also the paved area where planes park near the terminal, and in theaters, the 'apron' is the front part of the stage that sticks out past the curtain.
